Given:

Baban takes 8 hours to do a job.

Mahendra takes 10 hours to do the same Job.

To Find :

How long should it take both Baban and Mahendra, working together but independently, to do the same job?

Solution:

Baban can do a part of work in 1 hour = \frac{1}{8}

Mahendra can do a part of work in 1 hour =\frac{1}{10}

So, they can do a part of work together in 1 hour = \frac{1}{8} +\frac{1}{10}=\frac{9}{40}

So, Time taken by both to complete work = \frac{40}{9}=4.44 hours

Hence it should take 4.44 hours for both Baban and Mahendra, working together but independently, to do the same job
