Bang 6 news boys were admitted and 6 girls were left from the class the percent of the boys in the class increased from 60% to 75% find the original number of boys and girls in the class

Let,the total no. of students be x

then ,the no. of boys = 60%of x
= 6x/10
and the no. of girls = (100-60)%of x
= 40% of x
= 4x/10

if 6 girls left and 6 boys joined the class ,the total number of students remained the same.

6x/10 + 6 = 75x/100

==> 6= 3x/4 - 3x/5

==> 6 = (15x - 12x)/20

==> 6 = 3x /20

==> x= 40

hence,the original number of boys = 6x/10
= 6×40/10
= 24

and the original number of girls = 4x/10
= 4×40/10
= 16
