Sodium bicarbonate gives Na+ ion and HCO−3 ions, while sodium carbonate gives 2Na+ and CO2−3.

Carbonic acid(H2CO3) is a diprotic acid.

If one sodium ion replaces its hydrogen sodium bicarbonate is obtained and is two hydrogens are replaced, then sodium carbonate is obtained. So, you can understand that there is still one acidic hydrogen left in sodium bicarbonate and hence, it is less basic.

pls brainlist it
