BE THE FIRST TO BE BRAINLIEST
explain the activity
we cannot sense the smell of unlit incense stick
but we can sense the smell of lighted incense stick
crystal of copper sulphate dissolves faster in hot water than in cold water

Devipvu2004: there are also other factors affecting it
Devipvu2004: so air is just normal air
Devipvu2004: just study as air
meenakshi997sa: it will gai. the temperature only when we provide heat ... or the temperature of the surrounding is higher than its temp
meenakshi997sa: yeah
Devipvu2004: no when we add potassium permanganate in hot water
Devipvu2004: it will gain the temperature bcoz its added in hot water
Devipvu2004: and we can see the lines in no time
meenakshi997sa: yes
meenakshi997sa: lines?

these all are due to a property called 'diffusion'.
'Diffusion' fastest takes place in gases. Hence , when we light up incense stick the aroma particles of incense stick mix with air and spread in surrounding and reach the smell to us.
'diffusion' is directly proportional to temperature hence when we increase temperature 'diffusion' takes place fastest and so this is...

Devipvu2004: air means normal air
Devipvu2004: which is neither hot nor cold
Devipvu2004: hi
Devipvu2004: plzz reply
ShivamSaurabh1: ya air is normal air.

Particles of matter are continuously moving, that is, they possess what we call the kinetic energy. As the temperature rises,particles move faster. So, we can say that with increase in temperature the kinetic energy of the particles also increases. In the above three activities we observe that particles of matter intermix on their own with each other. They do so by getting into the spaces between the particles. This intermixing of particles of two different types of matter on their own is called diffusion. We also observe that on heating, diffusion becomes faster.
