BE THE FIRST TO BE BRAINLIEST. if we add some crystals of potassium permanganate in a tank containing 1000l of cold water then after some time we can see that the colour of the water changes that is particles which settle down move upwards so the particles travel more distance in this tank to move upwards. But in the case of cold food the particles of cold gases produced by the food cannot travel considerable or more distance. That's why we cannot sense the smell of food from a distance But in the first case the particles can travel more distance but in the second case the particles cannot travel more distance why???

It is due to diffusion, in first case the particles have much kinetic energy that helps in better diffusion but in second case, the particles have less kinetic energy that results slow and less diffusion......
