Whenever we experience anything beautiful, we tend to remember it for our life. We keep the pleasant memories of such incidences and it gives us immense pleasure to remember them. The poet in the poem hears the melodious song of the solitary reaper and though he is unable to understand the language, the song touches his heart. Long after he has left the pace, he remembers the song and derives pleasure from it.
