Student4503: actually it's right
beherasusilkuma: Total distance = 500 metres

Time taken = 30 seconds

Speed = distance / time

500 / 30 = 16.666 metres/second or 60 KMPH
Student4503: 500/30=50/3........my answer was correct

Solution :-

Distance covered by the train = 400 m

Length of the train = 100 m

Total distance covered = 400 + 100 = 500 m

Time taken = 30 seconds

Speed = Distance/Time

=  500/30

= 50/3 m/sec

= 16.6667 m/sec

Speed in km/hr

Distance covered = 500 m or 0.5 km

Time taken - 30 seconds

= 30/(60*60)

= 30/3600

= 0.00833 hour

Speed = Distance/Time

= 0.5/0.00833

= 60.024 km/hr
