Bholi is a character in the lesson "Bholi" by K.A. Abbas.

Character sketch of Bholi

Bholi was the fourth daughter of Ramlal. As a child, Bholi was a timid and meek girl. At school she was a slow learner and a shy student. She had the problem of stammering. But education and her teacher's care changed Bholi's character.

In the light of Bholi's refusal to marry Bishamber

- Bholi's refusal to marry Bishamber brings out the courage Bholi has developed.

- She has become a bold girl, capable of taking self-decision.

- She was angry and refused to marry Bishamer as he demanded dowry from her parents.

- She decided not to marry anyone and to spend her life in taking care of her parents.

- It demands great love and courage from Bholi, to take such a decision and sacrifice her life for her parents.
