Bones are hard structures and cannot be bent. But, we can still bend our elbow, knee, etc. How is this possible?

A single bone is very hard and rigid,and almost impossible to bend in the normal scenarios.
But still we are able to bend our knees, elbows etc.
Because,these are simply junction part of two seperate bones,which are connected externally with flexible muscles and ligaments.
Due to this flexibility of the muscles and ligaments we are able to move our knees and elbows without any difficulties.
