Given"Bought Goods from Das"
This transaction affects two accounts Purchases account, Das account..where Purchases account is a nominal account(all expenses incomes gains losses come under nominal account) and Das account is a Personal account .
The Three golden rules of accounting are
Personal account - Debit the receiver, credit the giver
Real account - Debit What comes in, credit what goes out
Nominal account - Debit All expenses and losses, credit all incomes and Gains
So Per the above rules..since Das is the giver..he should be credited.and Purchases is an expense should be debited..
So the Journal Entry will be
Purchases a/c Dr xxxxx
To Das a/c. xxxxx
(Being Goods Purchased from Das)
