Volume of rectangular pit =Volume of 1 brick*1000

140×70×90=21×10.5×h×1000

H =140×70×90/21×10.5×1000

=14×7×9/21×10.5

=2×9/3×1.5

=4

The height is 4cm

Answer:

height of brick = 4cn

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the pit

Length = 1.4 m

= 140 cm

breadth = 90 cm

depth = 70 cm

Volume = 140×70×90

= 882000

Consider 1 brick,

length = 21 cm

breadth = 10.5 cm

let height = h

Volume = 21×10.5×h

= 220.5h

Number of bricks = volume of pit / volume of one brick

1000 = 882000 / 220.5h

h = 882000 / ( 220.5 × 1000)

= 8820 / 2205

= 4 cm
