It's in inverse proportion :

So, x1*y1 = x2*y2

Let x1 = 4 men , x2 = 8 hour , y1 = 4 men , y2 = y2 respectively.

So,

4*8 = 4*y2

4*8/4 = y2

8 = y2

Therefore, if 4 men can make 4 table in 4hr so,8 men can make 8 table in 8 hr.

The number of tables built at the end of 8 hours will be 16.

GIVEN:

4 men can build 4 tables in 4 hours.

To find:

The number of tables can eight men build in 8 hours.

Explanation:

4 men are building 4 tables in 4 hours means 1 man can build a table in 4 hours. We can use this information to find out the number of tables built by 8 men in 8 hours.

if there are 8 hours then according to the efficiency of 1 man, he can build 2 tables in 8 hours.

The total number of men is 8.

So each will be building 2 tables in 8 hours.

Hence the total number of tables will be 2\times 8=16.

Therefore the required answer is 16.
