the excretory system helps an organism to excrete the nitrogenous metabolic waste which is harmful for the body. It is the end process of digestion and waste products and thrown out through the large intestine via anus.

The excretory system is a passive biological system that removes excess, unnecessary materials from the body fluids of an organism, to help maintain internal chemical homeostasis and prevent damage to the body. The dual function of excretory systems is the elimination of the waste products of metabolism and to drain the body of used up and broken down components in a liquid and gaseous state. In humans and other amniotes (mammals, birds, and reptiles) most of these substances leave the body as urine and to some degree exhalation, mammals also expel them through sweating.

All of our blood runs through our kidneys every day. There are an artery and a vein that runs in and out of each kidney to take the blood there and back. Solid waste is filtered out by the digestive system. Without the excretory system, the other parts of the body would eventually be poisoned by waste.
