Briefly discuss the dietary modifications of CHD.

In order to decrease the risk of CHD or Coronary Heart Disease, fat intake has been the main focus of dietary recommendations across the medical fraternity the world over. The type of fat, not the total amount of fat, intake is the main criterion.

CHD is Coronary Heart Disease is caused due to fat and cholesterol rich diets followed by lack of exercise or hard work. High cholesterol level, obesity, high blood pressure are main causes of CHD.
Saturated fats and cholesterol free diet can decrease risk of CHD. Unsaturated fats are not harmful for heart. Fiber-rich diets are very good for heart proper functioning these diets are barley, beans, fruits and vegetables.
