It is about an elm that is valued and has a high standard as it grew infant of generations. It has a purpose to inform and change attitudes of people. This poem is intended for all people and especially the ones who cut trees and nature. The issue and concern is because cutting trees is going for the concept of environmental sustainability which we humans in our time are not taking care of it. It also reflects on how trees take so long to grow and how ignorant humans destroy everything so fast. This is a great poem about human impact on trees and the environment making us think deeply and logically about trees.
