area of the kitchen = 81
are of the pantry = 1/9 of the kitchen (given)
                           = 81/9 = 9
width of the pantry = 3 so length of the pantry = 9/3 = 3
so, pantry is 3 feet long.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A2 = L × 3 square feet----(2)

But given condition in the problem is

9 times of area of the pantry = Area of the kitchen

9× A2 = A1

From (1) and (2)

9 × L × 3 = 81

L= 81/(9 × 3)

After cancellation we get

L = 3 feet

Therefore, length of the Brinn's pantry = L = 3 feet
