Bubly and Blossy met on their way back from the supermarket. Seeing that Bubly has done a
huge sweet shopping, Blossy asks her how many macarons she bought. Blossy says that if the
digits of the number of cupcakes are reversed, that's the same number of macarons that she
bought. She also says that there are more cupcakes than there are macarons. She then said that
the sum of the number of macarons and cupcakes is 11 times the difference of the numbers.
How many macarons did Bubly buy?

Answer:

45

Step-by-step explanation:

Let took the number of macaroons as xy

xy = 10 * x + 1 * y

reversed Number = yx

yx = y * 10 + x * 1

xy = 10(x+y)

yx = 10(y+x)

therefore, 10(x+y) and 10(y+x) become like terms.

Now, we need to substitute this.

So , we get 9x+y , 9y+x.

(9x+y ) + (9y+x) = 11 times xy,

which is equal to 45.

Hope , it will help you...
