to find out the answer,
S.P = Rs1600
Loss%=20%
so, C.P= 100/100-loss% * S.P
C.P= 100/100-20 *1600
=> 100/80 *1600 = Rs2000
so,C.P= Rs 2000
selling price of 20% profit: S.P= 100+profit%/100 * C.P
=>100+20/100 * 1600
=>120/100 * 1600 = Rs2400
so, the selling price if the article to gain 20% is Rs 2400
