● Explanation -
Thiols react with alkyl halides to form thioether.
R-S-H + R'-Br --> R-S-R' + HBr

In this reaction, Sulphur loses electrons more easily due to absence of conjugation.

Thiols react with open rapidly than open chain ethers because they are more nucleophilic.
