Generally, a man who has vast wealth, enviable titles or high academic degrees may be regarded as dignified man. But man’s dignity does not depend on these extraneous factors. Dignity is commanded by intrinsic worth. It is the best achievement of his life. High academic degrees by unfair means do not raise man high in the estimation of the society. Rather he is held to disrepute in all quarters if his conduct and character are responsible. Evan a man of noble birth may stop very law in conduction his life and lose his inherited dignity. Thus all such dazzling possessions are but empty moonshine in the way to become dignified. A dignified man is he who follows the higher values of life and maintains good manners in all circumstances. He is gentle in nature, well in behavior, honest in thought, truthful in communication, kind to the poor, friendly to all and diligent in his vocation of life. Even if a man having such qualities does not possess vast wealth, does not have high academic degrees, does not come of noble family or does not hold a high position, he is treated with great respect by all. Man’s dignity or valuation depend on his personality. Real dignity of man comes through his qualities and character.
