From th eequation we got that one mole of CaCO3 yields one mole CO2

Molar mass of CaCO3 = 100 u

Given mass of CaCO3 = 50g

Number of moles of CaCO3 = 50/100 = 0.5 moles

Moles of CaCO3 = Moles of CO2

Moles of CO2 = 0.5 moles

mass of CO2 obtained.= 0.5 x 44 = 22g
