P = Rs. 6400
R = 10%
T = 6months = 1/2 yr.

SI = Rs. (6400 × 10 1)/(100 × 2)
= Rs. (64 × 5)
= Rs. 320

P = 6400
Rate = 10% p. a = 5% per half year
Time = 6 months = 1 half year

S. I = PxRxT/100
=6400x5x1/100
= Rs. 340

Hope it helps you....
