Weight of the body = 120N

We know that weight of the body is equal to the force applied.

So Weight = Force applied = 120 N

Pressure = 3000 Pascal

Force/Area = 3000 Pascal

120/Area = 3000

By cross multiplication

120/3000 = Area

Area = 12/300

Area = 4/100

Area = 0.04 m²

So Area is 0.04 m²

Verification :

Pressure = 3000Pascal

Force/Area = 3000

120/0.04 = 3000

3000 = 3000

LHS = RHS
