Given:

Vertices = (1, 1), (2,3), and  \ (4,5)

To prove:

Area of the triangle.

Solution:

Formula:

Area of the triangle =\frac{1}{2}|[x_1(y_2-y_3)+x_2(y_3-y_1)+x_3(y_1-y_2)]|\\

Vertices = (1, 1), (2,3), and  \ (4,5)

= x_1= 1\\= y_1= 1\\= x_2=2\\= y_2=3\\= x_3=4\\= y_3=5\\

\Rightarrow Area =\frac{1}{2}|[1(3-5)+2(5-1)+4(1-3)]| \\\\\Rightarrow Area =\frac{1}{2}|[1(-2)+2(4)+4(-2)]| \\\\\Rightarrow Area =\frac{1}{2}|[-2+8+-8]| \\\\\Rightarrow Area =\frac{1}{2}|[-2]| \\\\\Rightarrow Area =\frac{1}{2} \times 2 \\\\\Rightarrow Area =\frac{2}{2} \\\\\Rightarrow Area = 1

The area of triangle is = 1
