Calculate the force required to impart to a car a velocity of 30m/s in 10 seconds starting from rest. The mass of the car is 1500 kg.

HEY!!

Force = mass x acceleration

Intial Velocity , u= 0 ........ ( since the body starts from rest )

Final Veloctity , v= 30 m s-1

Time req. by the object = 10 seconds

acceleration = ( v - u ) / t = ( 30 - 0 ) / 10 = 3 m s -2

Mass of the body = 1500 kg.

Therefore force req. = mass x accelartion

1500 kg. x 3 m s-2

THE 4500 kgms-2

ANS) 4500 N ...... ( since 1 Newton = 1 kg m s-2 )
