Well, for a simple pendulum we know that for small oscillations about the Mean,

Time period = 2π* √length/gravity

2.4 = 2π*√0.6/g

Therefore

0.6 / g = (1.2/π)^2

Implies,

g = (3.14/1.2)^2 * 0.6 = 4.108 something

which is obviously incorrect for something on earth.
