Calculate the length of a chord which is at a distance of 12cm from the centre of a circle of radius 13cm. Please don't say anything if you don't know the answer. By the property of circle that-

Perpendicular dream from centre to chord bisects the chord.

So by Pythagoras theorem,H=radius of circle=13cm.

P=perpendicular distance=12,and 'l' be the length of half chord( bisects the chord)..

l=√(169–144)=5

This the length of chord will be 10cm.
