Answer:

a) The molecular mass of  h_2CO_3 is 64 unit.

b) The molecular mass of C_2h_5OH is 50 unit.

c) The molecular mass of h_2SO_4 is 98 unit.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find : Calculate the molecular mass of the following ?

Solution :

a) h_2CO_3

Atomic mass of hydrogen is 1 carbon is 14 and oxygen is 16.

h_2CO_3=1\times 2+14+16\times 3

h_2CO_3=2+14+48

h_2CO_3=64

The molecular mass of  h_2CO_3 is 64 unit.

b) C_2h_5OH

Atomic mass of hydrogen is 1 carbon is 14 and oxygen is 16.

C_2h_5OH=14\times 2+1\times 5+16+1

C_2h_5OH=28+5+16+1

C_2h_5OH=50

The molecular mass of C_2h_5OH is 50 unit.

c) h_2SO_4

Atomic mass of hydrogen is 1 sulphur is 32 and oxygen is 16.

h_2SO_4=1\times 2+32+16\times 4

h_2SO_4=2+32+64

h_2SO_4=98

The molecular mass of h_2SO_4 is 98 unit.
