area of rectangle=area of square
L×B=side×side
50mm×25mm=side×side
1250mm=side×side
side=5√50mm

sagar4975: but the answer is 35.35 why

Given :

Length of rectangle = 50 mm

Breadth of rectangle = 25 mm

To Find :

calculate the side of square which will have the same area as the rectangle of 50 mm into 25 mm sides

Solution:

Length of rectangle = 50 mm

Breadth of rectangle = 25 mm

Area of rectangle =Length \times Breadth = 50 \times 25 = 1250 mm^2

Let the side of square be x

Area of square = Side^2 = x^2

We are given that side of square which will have the same area as the rectangle of 50 mm into 25 mm sides

So,x^2 = 1250

\Rightarrow x= \sqrt{1250}\\\Rightarrow x = 35.35

Hence the side of square is 35.35 mm
