10 hours daily (ii) a 100 W bulb is used for 8 hours daily and iii) a 1000W AC is
operated for 5 hours daily in the month of May. If cost per unit is Rs.5, calculate the

Answer:

Formula = Units consumed = Power*Time/1000

Units consumed by fan = 75*10/1000

= 0.75 kWh

Units consumed by bulb = 100*8/1000

= 0.8 kWh

Units consumed by AC = 1000*5/1000

= 5 kWh

Total units a day = (5+0.75+0.8) kWh

= 6.55 kWh

Total units a month = (6.55*30) kWh

= 196.5 kWh

Cost of 1 unit = Rs. 5

Cost of 196.5 units = (196.5*5)

Rs. 982.5

I hope this helps.
