Can a country be both a monarchy and democracy? If so, give an example

Of course it can, if the monarch becomes more of a figurehead and leaves political power and decisions to whoever is elected. Then it is called a constitutional monarchy. There are plenty of these around the world so I can do better than name one - the UK, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Spain, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, and all 15 other countries that share the British monarch, including Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
