To Find :

Weather pair of lines be both parallel and perpendicular .

Solution :

Parallel lines :

•Lines are parallel when lines never meet or intersect .

or slope of parallel lines is same as direction parallel lines are same .

Perpendicular lines :

•lines are perpendicular when two lines intersect at the angle of 90° with each other

or product of slope of two lines is -1.

•So, pair of lines which are parallel i.e. the lines never meet .

therefore , they can't intersect each other at 90°

so, they can't be perpendicular to each other.

• Hence , pair of lines can never be both parallel and perpendicular at same time.
