In this graph take one atom at origin and 2nd one at on x-axis at at Di now they approaches each other and the reason behind is the attraction force is dominated at that time but at the limiting position that that don’t approach anymore because at that position repulsive forces dominated and The or not is the value of the distance between the atoms which is bond length and the energy at the at the minima is bond energy this energy can be changed by giving external forces then or not values is decreases thanks
