A number consists of 2 digits whose sum is 8.if 18 is added to that number, the digits are reversed. Find the number.

let the original number be 10x +y
reversed number= 10y +x
now
1st case,
x+y=8
2nd case
10x+y +18 =10y +x
10 x -x +y -10y=-18
9x-9y=-18
9(x-y) =-18
x-y=-18/9
x -y =-2
now, solving 2 equation, we get,
x+y=8
x-y =-2
adding both equations,
2x =6
x =3.
substituting the value of x in equation 1 ,we get,
x+y=8
3+y=8
y =8-3
y = 5
so, the original number is
10x+y
10*3 +5
30+5
