Can anybody please explain the phenomenon of Biological magnification how does it affect the organism belonging to the different trophic levels particularly the tertiary consumers?

Biological Magnification:-
When a consumer eats a producer the wastes that are in the body of producer gets accumulated in the body of consumer.
In this way...at higher trophic levels the wastes get accumulated in sach a large quantities that they kill them.

biological magnification is the entry and accumulation of harmful chemicals in the organism at the highest trophic level. as human beings occupy the top level in any food chain, the maximum concentration gets accumulated in our bodies.
