The story is about the Autho and his friend Todd, who lends a dollar from the author to visit Bermuda, and thereafter forgets to repay it. The author is ashamed of asking Todd his money back, and in tbe process tries some futile attempts, but of vain.
One day Todd observes that Poland has unpaid debts, but even then he doesn't repay the Author. Angry thr the author adds Todds name in the defaulters list, but later realises that it is but human to forget snd hence filled with guilt hr initiates a" Back to Honesty" campaign, but doesn't wish the matter to be known by his friend. Even he doesn't want his readers to bring the copies of the story in University Club Montreal, which is now patronised by Major Todd.
