According to the 1st statement,
The principal=(720×100)/(4×7.5)
(The formula-( s.i. ×100)/(r×t))
Therefore, the principal =Rs.2400
Therefore,
According to the 2nd statement,
Principal =Rs.2400(because it is the same)
Time period =2 years
Rate of Interest =5%p.a.
Therefore,
Simple Interest =(2400×2×5)/100
S.I.=Rs.240
(The formula =(p×t×r)/100)
Therefore,
The amount=2400+240=Rs.2640
