Given : ABCD is rectangle

E is a point on BC

EC = 3BE

To Find : Area of rectangle

Solution:

Area of right angle triangle ABE

= (1/2) * AB  * BE

Area of right angle triangle ABE = 7 cm²

(1/2) * AB  * BE = 7

=>  AB *  BE = 14

Area of   rectangle ABCD

= AB * BC

BC = BE + EC   = BE + 3BE = 4BE

=  AB * 4BE

= 4 * AB * BE

= 4 * 14

= 56  cm²

Area of   rectangle ABCD = 56  cm²
