Answer:

olytechnic Diploma provides Three paths for your career –

1) JOB -

After diploma various career opportunities open for you in government sector or private sector. Some companies prefer to recruit Polytechnic students rather than engineering students. About government sector these are the opportunity available.

Indian railway

Public sector Companies like – BHEL, BEL, NTPC, Power grid

Electricity department, PWD, NHAI

Defence services

Delhi/ other Metro

In private sector you can get the job at the companies related to your field with handsome fresher’s package. If you are lucky enough then you can also work as lab assistant at college. The opportunities are limited provided the person must be skilled.

2) Higher Education -

Getting a degree will help you to get much better opportunities, further studies in future and much better pay scales in jobs rather than if you apply with your diploma. You will certainly have an advantage of getting diploma before your degree. You can pursue Bachelor's degree course in Engineering/Technology after completion of your three years Diploma course.

There are two modes to complete your Degree –

i) B Tech. by Lateral Entry Scheme -

To get admission in Bachelor's degree courses like B.E/ B.Tech, you need to appear in Lateral entry examinations like LEET which is conducted by your respective state entrance examinations board. By qualifying the entrance examination, based upon your examination rank, you will be allotted a seat in a particular college and you can get admission in second year of four years B.Tech course. Many government and private college offer for this program.

ii) AMIE -

You are a professional who is working and AMIE will be good for you as it is a correspondence Engineering Graduation with no regular classes and you can study at your own time. AMIE will have 13 subjects for Diploma holders and you are definitely eligible for this course. After passing all these subjects you will become a Graduate Engineer. You are interested in doing course from your home and there is no better option than AMIE.

3) Self Employment -

Be your own king. Create job for others. No other alternative career if you have guts.

GOOD LUCK...and hope it helps you
