Can politics change the clothes people wear, the language they speak or the books they read? Explain in the context of French Society by giving two relevant points.

Politics is often know to change the views of people, however sometimes it can change as much as their clothes, language and even the books they read.

As in the case of Nazism, many Germans were greatly influenced by Hitler's views that they changed their mentality completely.

India boosts of a a more powerful example. During Gandhiji's Khadi movement, many of his supporters and followers shunned their western their dressing styles and choose Khadi clothes.  

These changes have a very close relationship with the leaders themselves. A powerful leader with a perfect gift of gab can sometimes influence people's ideas so much that they change even their life styles.
