can some one explain me the difference between origin and source?

they both are synonymous to be honest.
but if we check the usage of the two words , source is mostly used for immediate location or point . eg- what is the source of that noise ?
if for this sentence we want to use origin , then it will be : where is the noise originating from ? we don't normally say what is the origin of that noise? 
 origin is mostly used as a place or time . eg- the origin of buddhism .
 so both are language wise, almost synonyms but over time they have come to use in slightly different ways or we can say people use one word more than the other depending on the situation like i told above. 
LANGUAGE WISE , NO DIFFERENCE THOUGH.

origin-the point or place where something begins, arises, or is derived.
source-
a body or process by which energy or a particular component enters a system.
