Can someone tell me,why there's need to derive formulas in Physics when it is already be given?

I mean we should explore new things rather than these already proved stuff..!!

If you just go on by hearting the formulas you won't get the appropriate application of them i.e. you won't be able to apply them. By deriving the formulas you not just become capable to apply them but you also improve your skills such as visualization, calculus etc, and mostly in physics the formulas are interrelated with each other and so by deriving every formula you get multiple ways or methods to solve a single problem.

Also if you forget any formula you can recall it by its derivation.

for example, the three basic equations of kinematics

v² = u² + 2as

v = u + at

s = ut + 1/2at²
