can't we put 10 electrons in M shell because it can contain upto 18 electrons according to ,

no. of electrons in shell = 2(n*n)
=2(3*3)
=2*9 = 18.
if no, then why?
explain briefly.

NO THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS

BY USING THE LAW WE CAN CALCULATE THE SUM OF NUMBER OF ELECTRONS IN THE FIRST SECOND AND THIRD ORBITAL NOT WILL BE THERE THIRD WE FIND THE ANSWER OF THE SUM OF THE THREE ORBITALS

WE CAN PROVE IT THAT THE SUM OF THE FIRST THREE ORBITALS IS 18 BY ADDING THE KLM SHELL
