Two obtuse angles can never be supplementary. This is explained as follows :-

Let X be the one angle and Y be other.

Supplementary angles means two angles whose sum is 180 degree.

We know that obtuse angle is more than 90 degree. i.e. 90 < X

Now sum of two obtuse angle,

90<X + 90< Y = 180 < X +Y

Hence, sum of X and Y is more than 180.

For supplementary angle one must be obtuse while other be acute or both should be right angles.
