When ferrous sulphate is heated then Ferrous oxide is formed .

:-

2Fe(SO4) ------> Fe2O3 + SO2 + SO3

Fe2O3 is known as ferrous oxide which is of brown color.

Ferrous sulphate crystal are ferrous sulphate attached to 7water of crystallization(FeSO4.7H20)which is green in colour.
When ferrous sulphate crystals is heated it decomposes to ferrous sulphate (FeSO4) which is white in colour as it loses its water of crystallization.
On Strongly heating ferrous sulphate decomposes to brown colour ferric oxide (Fe2O3), ans oxides of sulphur (SO2,SO3) .
Hope it helps
