we can't imagine life on earth without photosynthesis bcz due to photosynthesis we
breathe oxygen, due to photosynthesis plants
make food ...if plants not live than men will also not live...if plants and humans not live than animals also not live....

without photosynthesis there could not be oxygen produced from carbon dioxide and hence life as we know it could not exist.
However there were organisms that survived without help of oxygen or photosynthesis and could utilise other sources such as minerals
heat and other sources etc.
