10000-12.5%=8750. discount money = 1250 vat 12.5 Percent in dicount amount the vat amount is 156.25 rs total amount =8750+156.25=8096.25
sorry I added the vat amount to the discount given which is 1250
if we add the vat to the amount which is after the discount given and the the carpet price is 8750 and that vat of 8750 is 1093.75 total is 9843.75

So the carpet is of 10,000 and the discount would be subtracted from this
Discount =12.5% therefore 12.5/100×10000
It will be 1250
Subract from 10,000---rs.8750
Discounted money is 8750
Now the vat part is 12.5%of 8750
ie. 12.5/100×8750
Vat will be 1093.75 added with the discount is 9843.75
