capacitor does not allow dc current .justify ?

the capacitor is an important circuit it has two conducting plates separated by an insulator our current cannot flow through it when a set of wire connected a battery of V volt to a capacitor the end of wires as well as the plates of the capacitor to secure a potential difference of V volt across them that's how voltage appears at the end of even a very long wire where you can connect say a bulb and see it glow.
