carbon dioxide will turn lime water milky give reason

CO₂ + Ca(OH)₂------------> CaCO₃+H₂O

when Calcium Hydroxide(lime water) is supplied with Carbon dioxide it reacts to form an insoluble milky or white precipitate called Calcium Carbonate which seems to make lime water turn milky
