Hey... friend.
here's the answer..
The Cause of Refraction. We have learned that refraction occurs as light passes across the boundary between two media. Refraction is merely one of several possible boundary behaviors by which a light wave could behave when it encounters a new medium or an obstacle in its path.

Hope it helps..

{\bold{\purple{Cause\:of\: Refraction}}}

  • Speed of light is different in different media, i.e., more rare medium and comparatively less in denser medium.So, when light enters a denser medium,it's speed reduces and it it bends toward the normal and when it enters rarer medium,it's speed increases and it bends towards from the normal.
